Please come and protest against the bloody military operation in Baluchistan and the construction of dams (including Kala bagh) on Indus.

The fifth military operation in Baluchistan during the short history of Pakistan is going on since February 2005. Heavy artillery, gunship helicopters and military planes are being used on a daily basis to massacre the innocent baluch people, who are simply asking for their fundamental human rights. Hundreds of innocent people including older men, women and children have been killed. Hundreds of baluch youth are subjected to inhuman and barbarious torture in the torture cells of the military.

Arbitrary arrests and extra-judicial killings are the routine of the day.

Pakistan's notorious military generals have converted the land of the Baluch into a battle field where peace loving and poor baluch have no option but to leave their ancestral homes. According to reliable sources 90% people of Dera Bugti region of Balochistan have left their homes.

Hiding his in competency and massive corruption in handling the issue of earth-quake in Kashmir and Pakhtunkhwa, General Musharaf declared that he is bringing an earth-quake of big dams on river Indus.

True to his words he recently announced that 5 big dams including Kala Bagh Dam will be constructed on Indus unto year 2016. This in spite of the fact that three provincial assemblies of Sindh, Baluchistan and Pakhtunkhwa have unanimously thrice passed resolutions against Kala Bagh Dam. Narrow minded and war-mongering generals of Pakistan are pushing the country towards an unending civil war and balkanization of Pakistan.

In this situation it is duty of every Sindhi, Baloch, Pashtun, Seraiki and Punjabi living abroad to protest against the shameful military operation, arbitrary arrests and extra-judicial killings in Balochistan and against the catastrophic policy of building mega dams on Indus.

The World Sindhi Institute - Europe - organizes a protest demonstration in front of Pakistani High Commission in London on 10th of March 2005. I appeal to every peace loving, democratic, progressive and nationalist Sindhi, Baloch, Pashtun, Seraiki and Punjabi to please come and join us in this protest demonstration, condemn general Musharaaf's inhuman policies and express your solidarity with Baloch Sindhi ,Pashtun and other oppressed nations of Pakistan.
