Rally In Washington, DC To Condemn Karachi Massacre, Call For Democracy

A rally is being held in Washington, DC on Saturday, May 19th at 3:00 P.M. in front of the White House at Lafayette Park to condemn the May 12 Karachi massacre at the hands of the Pakistani terrorist organization MQM with the full connivance of the Central and provincial governments. The rally will call upon the US government to declare MQM a terrorist organization and end its support to the military dictatorship in Pakistan.

 

The rally will demand immediate resignation of the military regime and the appointment of a neutral set up to hold free and fair elections under an independent election commission in Pakistan.

 

The rally being held at the joint call of the Sindhi Association of North America (SANA), Pakistani Physicians Association for Justice and Democracy (APPJD) and other Pakistani American organizations. It will strongly condemn the government actions to suppress judiciary and attacks on media.
