WSI Welcomes the Decision of WSC

The World Sindhi Institute welcomes the decision of the World Sindhi Congress to join in the successive rallies to be held in USA and Canada. We acknowledge and affirm that the issue of human rights violations particularly the issue of arbitrary arrest and torture of Sindhi activists will also be highlighted in these rallies.

WSI has always strived to work in cooperation with and joint support of all groups and associations within Sindhi community; we look forward to all members of Sindhi Diaspora community in participating and helping to make the rallies a success; it is our belief that history will not forgive us if we fail to achieve solidarity in these critical times.

Saghir Shaikh of World Sindhi Congress Supports Rallies

World Sindhi Congress will joins The World Sindhi Institute in its plan for successive rallies to be held in USA and Canada to condemn Pakistan Government actions in Balochistan and on Kalabagh Dam. In addition the issue of arbitrary arrest and torture of Sindhi activists will also be highlighted in these rallies.

These are the burning issues of facing our peoples in Sindh and Balochistan. Sindhi-Americans and Sindhi-Canadians must do their best to reach out to the international community pleading for their influence in stopping these attrocities.

Last year, WSC arranged three protests in front of the Prime Minister Tony Blair's house requesting Her Majesty's Government to ask Pakistan Government to stop immediately the work on Gwadar Port, Kalabagh Dam, and Greater Thal Canal and to bring to a halt the ongoing atrocities against Baloch and Sindhi peoples.

WSC will carry out series of similar protests this year in UK.

All human rights groups are requested to participate in these rallies in USA, Canada and UK.
