World Sindhi Institute
Announcement of
Rally
Dear friends,
It is the most
precious moment in our history to witness a cry for unity once again
emerging in North America. In these difficult times, we owe this to our
people in Sindh. On behalf of WSI, in a separate letter, I have requested
SANA and WSC leadership to join hands in this common cause. WSI is flexible.
We can declare these WSI/SANA/WSC joint rallies.
Last week WSI
announced series of public protests in front of Pakistan Embassy and
Consulates in USA. We invited Baloch Society Of North America (BSO_NA) and
our Pashtoon friends to join us in these protests, which they have kindly
accepted. Dr. Wahid Baloch has assured full participation and support.
WSI is very
closely working with BSO_NA to raise our voice against military operation in
Balochistan. We might even have a prominent guest or two from Pakhtoonkhuwa
and Sindh participating in our rallies.
I request you
to make an accommodation in your personal and professional itineraries to
join us in these rallies. We can't do this alone and we need your support
and participation.

Letter to SANA
and WSC :
Saaiin Aziz
Narejo Sahib (President of SANA) and Saaiin Saghir Shaikh Sahib (Chairman of
WSC):
I am sure you
must have noticed our announcement about 'SUCCESSIVE RALLIES IN US AND
CANADA CONDEMNING PAKISTAN GOVERNMENT'S ACTIONS IN BALOCHISTAN AND ON
KALABAGH DAM'.
From the
bottom of my heart, I appeal you to join in a common agenda of organizing
demonstrations in North America. As you have rightly expressed in your press
statements the importance of Sindhi united front in these critical times. I
wish to join you in the same sentiment. Let us join our efforts and organize
impressive demonstrations in Washington DC, Chicago, Houston, Los Angles,
New York and Toronto over the next few weeks.
In Sindh
everyone realizes the importance of joint strategy and actions on Kalabagh
dam and Balochistan. PPP, religious groups, MQM, and Nationalist parties are
discussing the ways in which they can cooperate for the good of Sindh and
Sindhis. The same spirit has to be kindled here in North America. The
history will not forgive us if we failed to take a united action in these
critical times.
Our collective
actions will benefit Sindh and Sindhis.
I hope you
will give this a thought. I am eagerly awaiting for your reply.
Sincerely,
Munawar Laghari
